Character Rig


For the rig of the character, the following requirements were set. Iconic controls frozen, named, history deleted, joint chain oriented properly, RP IK handle hip to ankle, SC IK handle ankle to toe, joints placed properly within geometry, history frozen on geometry, transformations frozen on geometry, geometry attached to rig, joints redrawn, hierarchy functions properly. The video below shows the rig. For this simple project a puppet rig was used. This is my advance version of the rig, which also included more controls and an IK handle for the arms joint chain.

Character model


For the modeling of the character, the following requirements were set. The model had to be seamless at a 500-800 polycount. For delivery, history deleted, trasformations frozen, geometry named, pivot at origin, placed on grid, quadded, edgelooping for deformation (3 edges: shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle), good curvature. Prop model


For the modeling of the main prop, in this case the retro style refrigerator, the following requirements were set. The model had to be seamless at a 300-500 polycount. For delivery, history deleted, trasformations frozen, geometry named, pivot at origin, placed on grid, quadded. The video below shows the model. I based it of this photo reference,

Storyboard for 6 sec animation

So these are a few panels with key poses for the 6 second animation I worked on this past 2 weeks.




Still here!

So I've been MIA for awhile in this is why. I kind of went of track on doing the tutorials because I had this small little project. Essentially the entire pipeline from modeling, rigging, texture, animating, lighting and rendering, in 2 weeks for a 6 seconds animation.
